Wise County Health Department Undergoing Ceiling Maintenance
Limited Services Available via Mobile Facilities at Wise County Health Department
WISE, Va. – The LENOWISCO Health District will be conducting maintenance on its Wise County and City of Norton Health Department located at 134 Roberts Ave., in Wise on Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2. The health department building will be closed temporarily during this time. Limited services will continue be offered via mobile health units located in the parking lot of the building. Services available on-site include comprehensive harm reduction, vaccinations, vital records (birth, death, and marriage certificates), as well as all services for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
“We offer important services to the community,” said Reisa Sloce, director, LENOWISCO and Cumberland Plateau Health Districts. “While we undergo the necessary maintenance procedures at this location, as many services as possible will still be available to the community. We look forward to continuing to serve our residents via the mobile health units.”
